Dslyecxi has done some great work concerning ARMA 2 & 3. Considering the number of players involved, and the complexity and attention to detail in these games (Steel Beasts for armoured vehicle penetration modelling), I'm surprised we don't see more posts commenting on things that can be learned for wargaming purposes. About the only thing that seems slightly unrealistic to me is the morale modelling (players being more gung-ho and able to lay down aimed fire than they would in the actual situation) but when commanding units Dslyecxi always acts with caution and sound thinking (his US Marine training I assume). |

Armand, that is a great find. Good condensed but thorough coverage for squad and platoon tactics. Looks like he did his homework. Most of the information is right out of the field manuals. Great for gamers. thanks Sam |
