One of my favorite movies is still Jason and the Argonauts, released way back in 1963. And my favorite scene of course is the climax of the movie featuring the Ray Harryhausen stop-motion skeletons. A few years ago I bought some Wargames Factory Skeletons to try and replicate the skeletons from that scene. Assembling these models was a painful experience. Even once assembled, they are extremely fragile. However, I think they are the best-looking skeletons on the market. I dipped them a few weeks ago and bought some Peddinghaus Decals 1/72 Greek Shield Emblems EP1168 for the Greek shields. I finished them up with flock two weeks ago.

That's a very nice job: top marks – highly evocative of the film skellies.

Probably the best I've ever seen.

Awesome work – loved that film as a kid! Had it on VHS!

Great job very close to the movie. They do look fragile though I'd be worrying about people sneezing nearby :)

They look excellent!
I kept away from Wargames Factory skeletons, as I expected what you experienced.
I recently bought some skeletons from Wargames Foundry Greek Mythology, but still have to paint them.

I think the 1/72 decals work very well.

Even once assembled, they are extremely fragile.

I have not found that to be true. Once assembled, they are quite robust. The tricky part is that each skeleton has a lot of fiddly parts to assemble. By the third skeleton, I had a system for assembly.

It depends which version you bought- the first go (blue box) were very fragile, the 2nd go (black box) were toughened up. Ive had no problems with them at all.

Mine are the first incarnation. They have a springiness to them that some may regard as fragility. They will endure any normal handling.

Beautiful work. I shied away from assembling skeletons though, and bought mine from the Reaper Bones range. A bit stiffer to be sure, but no headaches.
