Well, I should have been filming more Sharp Practice videos today but I have a FILTHY cold and the thought of mumbling my way through Command & Control filled me with dread. Instead, I thought I'd pen a piece about my new Sharp Practice project on Lard Island News. Not much to see yet, but some ideas forming.

Serious question at the foot of the article about names. Any help appreciated.

To stick with the very subtle Lard theme running throughout your various presences I don't suppose you would object to the idea of Herzogtum Griebenschmalz?

All of this sounds delightful!
As for names, why re-invent the wheel, as it were: If you intend to stick with that fictitious map, Steinau vs. Rossberg sounds as good as anything, with or without a pseudo-historical prefix like Hesse, Saxe, Anhalt or Brandenburg. Heraldic designs like a (stylized) mountain for Steinau and a leaping horse for Rossberg spring to mind (see what I did there?). The area about half-way between them should make for interesting terrain. Make them duchies, margraviates or even just lordships (Herrschaften) – for all we know, those 50 figures could be their entire armed forces!
For added depth, Soldingen, Wildungen and perhaps Silberberg as well could be free cities, prone to ally themselves and their two ageing guns with whoever cuts them the best trade deal?
