It's interesting to note the number of battles that occurred in real life that can attribute its results as much to luck and fate as to skill and tenacity on the battlefield. I guess these little wars that we play aren't so removed from reality after all! |

Interesting. I was walking this field only a couple of days ago. It does not appear to have changed much. I have to say, when you see the skilled way that Saltykov seems to have deployed his troops to exploit the ground, and the narrow approach it forced on the Prussians, it is hard to see how they could have triumphed in real life.
