Nice! They're available again from Minifigs, which is cool.

Painted mine with orange skin, many years ago. Wish I hadn't stepped on some of them.

I love them. They were the first miniatures I fell in love with as a boy. Be sure to post photos of your repainting job!

Very nice Ironmonk. People sure do have a lot of love for the old pig-faced orcs. What was good about the Minifigs D&D line was the number of variants. A unit of them were all different. Please show us more from your new stuff.

Some of my favourite figures ever made. The good thing is they are back in production so I have been able to pick up the ones I couldn't afford when I was a kid.

Mind you, I have already broken the standard on my standard bearer. The polearms on the old Minifigs never did stand up to a great deal of wear and tear.

(This is a picture from the Minifigs website. My figure used to look like this but doesn't anymore).

Yes,the armament was cast-on. I wanted to have at least one rank of dwarf pikemen, but you only got one per pack, and I couldn't splurge.
I kinda preferred the "samurai" orcs, actually. They looked like a closer match for my Kriegspieler Uruk-hai.

Hafen, by "samurai" orcs do you mean the old Minifig hobgoblins? Absolutely loved those back in the day, but unlike the orcs above, they are very, very hard to find currently. As far as I know, e-bay or the like are the only places to get them.

Right,Daryl, those are the ones. I only bought a couple of packs,IIRC.Wish I had bought tons now, naturally.

Also the Valley of the 4 Winds. Got the skeleton cart, and wanted to get more, but the place I got them from stopped carrying them cause there "wasn't much call for them". Look at the prices now.

BTW, that was Alexandria Arts and Crafts--anybody remember them?
