Hello everyone! So I have a nicely painted army of Scots Common that is equipped to represent figures around the First Scottish War of Independence. I would really like to expand and get some figures that would work well with the Second Scottish War of Independence and then reflect armies into the late 14th century (Otterburn time period). I think I will go with Essex knights, specifically their 1360-1400 range, however I am not too happy with their pikemen figures. I really like to have figures where I model my own pike as piano wire is much sturdier. I was wondering if you all had some recommendations for pike figures that would fit this time period. As well, I am also looking to fill out a portion of the army I have missing for both periods, that would be the few stands of longbowmen they can have. What would you all surmise would be a good figure range that would cover their longbowmen from both the first and second war period? Thanks everyone! Stanton |

Check the old Feudal Castings line that Sgt. Major Miniatures now have. They have a later pack of spearmen that will mix in well. The pikes used to be cast on the figures, but they may have changed that now as I seem to recall some of the packs for earlier spearmen now come open handed. Allen |

Wow, that's for the Sgt. Major Miniatures reference. Little did I know that's actually where my models came from (I bought them painted). I'll have to put in an order! |

Essex Knights for your men-at-arms is a good move. Most gamers (and illustrators and manufacturers) in this period make their chaps a bit too early. |
