Looks promising – though early yet.

There's a Dunkirk film in the works as well.

Looks very promising – I hope they can pull it off.

Please tell me it is not a Hollywood production. It does look promising. If Hollywood touches it, it will be less so.

It does state this is a British film industry effort. And if they can't get behind it then they need to stop complaining about Hollywood!

Hollywood totally screwed up the last major WWII movie, 'Fury.' So I'm glad these are not Hollywood productions.

Wow! I had to check the date to make sure this wasn't some cruel April Fool's joke which has only just surfaced. PLEEEEEAAASE can this be done right!

I posted this weeks ago, with little response. It's worth checking out their facebook page.

Totally? No. The last 1/4 of the movie was garbage. The rest was pretty good.

Hollywood's view is that war is always evil, and that they have to show the utter horrors of war. Thus, the end of Furry had to show that war destroys everyone.

War is brutal, but that doesn't mean that everyone who fights somehow looses their humanity, or that they all have to be destroyed by it.

Some Chicken07 Apr 2016 3:26 a.m. PST

@ Landorl Perhaps, but it also over exaggerates for dramatic effect and typically presents a misleadingly slanted view of US achievements compared to those of the other Allies. Which would be one thing if it only produced films for the domestic market, but of course it hopes and expects to sell worldwide.

Director Lance Neilsen is a wargamer. I trust that he will get the details right.
