I will be relocating to the area next month. Wondering if there are any clubs, gamers, etc. Anyone meet up at Hobbytown or Toy Wiz in Nanuet? |

Big club at toy wiz. Monthly late games night on the first Thursday and weekly late nights on Wednesday's as well as periodic gaming when scheduled. If you're on Facebook look up the Hudson valley wargaming group and the ordo malleus group, I'll repost a link to the we page in the morning when imnot on my iPad |

Mexican Jack Squint and myself play at Hobbytown on most Thursdays as that's the night that works for the both of us. There are other gamers who are there other days of the week. Toy Wiz has a great group of gamers. Besides the First Thursday games there's an active forum where people schedule games as time permits. Welcome to Rockland Daniel Foley 22 at g mail dot com |

The club at Toy Wiz is Ordo Malleus, despite the name there is very little 40k played. The website with message boards is at link Their facebook page is link The Hudson Valley Wargaming facebook is link it seems to be mostly in the Poughkeepsie area, but there area people further south on it. I know they do stuff at Hobbytown, I'm pretty sure Mexican Jack Squint is the guy I've met who does Chain of Command down there, but I've never been to the store. Ordo Malleus is a pretty diverse group, they do regular Flames of War, WarmaHordes and XWing tournaments on weekends as well as all the flavors of FoW, WarmaHordes, Bolt Action, some 40k (not much, but they're adults and there is seemingly no WAAC players in the club), Infinity, Frostgrave, Kings of War and several other games. And the group is pretty big, if you have days off during the week you can usually get a game going of a popular system. |

Mexican Jack and Fusilier Dan do quite a few things, being ancient wargamers with many and varied interests of an amiable and non-competitive nature. Dan wrote up our last game in his blog, using his 42mm toy soldiers: link You can contact me at professorbellbuckle@yahoo.com unless I owe you money, in which case I'm at hahaloser@nochance.com. |
