So, I've been doing the el-cheapo route to get a significant number of ACW troops on the table, and I've run into a wee bit of a problem. Like most other era's plastic 1/72 sets, the ACW ones are missing enough of "specialist" figures (officers, guidons, musicians, etc) to make assembling forces kind of a pain in the behind. Buying 9 whole boxes of figs for 9 flag bearers seems….stupid? So the question is, what metal range fits in with these figs to fill in the gap without having several hundred figs left over? TIA for your thoughts. |

The boy and I had our first game of Open Combat a couple of weeks ago and we've just finally finished the battle report…
The rest is up on our blog link if you're interested. We had great fun. The rules are quick to pick up and easy to play. Looking forward to our next game! |

Have a look at Irregular's 20mm range for ACW, keen prices and they sell them individually; do PayPal. I've always found them first rate to deal with here in the UK. |

I enjoyed the AAR good sir, love hyboria gaming! No comment on the ACW stuff as its not a time period that I am currently pursuing, maybe in the future. |

Looks like great fun! Where are the archway pieces from? They are really evocative. |

Thanks! The ruins are aquarium decorations…Rosewood Temple Ruins…that I picked up off Amazon. On a side note…not sure how my post got mixed up with another about ACW figs. Any idea how we can separate them? |

Thanks. It took a few hours to put the whole thing together (using Comic Life 3)…a bit longer if you include editing the pics prior to that. |

Conan, pretty and well painted miniatures, evocative scenery and a great AAR PLUS an outstanding work with the comic format that makes this adventure even more fun to read. What else can a wargamer want? Thanks for sharing. |
