Does anyone make 28mm cultists that, say, are in robes and carrying medieval style weapons? Most of the robed cultists I've seen are either clearly from the 1920s-30s (they look awesome, but they're not what I need), or they're just standing around doing nothing. While standing still and chanting to the dark lord Cthulhu is great and all, I was rather hoping for some cultists that were more proactive (as in wielding agricultural implements and screaming curses at unbelievers). Of course, I will still need a crazed religious leader or two standing in a dramatic pose, reading a forbidden tome of blasphemous knowledge. After all, any good cult needs a leader who will be inspiring to his minions of evil. |

Buy a box of the Frostgrave cultists, then you can build a variety especially if you have other plastic kits to kitbash from. |

Take a look at the Frostgrave Cultists box. You get 20 multipart plastic Fantasy cultist figures. |

There are some great figures in the referenced Old Glory peasants range. Some friends and I bought a bunch of packs and then divvied up the contents for variety's sake. |

I used these guys, sanded the integral base smaller and mounted them on 20mm bases. Used them for my Evil Temple. Changed out some of the weapons and bent some of the arms so converting them is no problem.

Check out the Brotherhood figures from the vampire wars line (Swords, torches, crossbows, and axes). Also I used the "Pawns of Dis" from the superfigs line. They don't have weapons but some quick hand swaps with weapon hands from plastic sets and you have more good cultist types. |
