Especially, I'd like to know what do you think about my interpretation of Gostelowe no 6. link |

The Gostelowe flags were first mentioned in an inventory return in 1778. Sherburne's additional regiment existed in this time frame. Lefferts mentions they were mainly drawn from Connecticut men. I am not near my Richardson, but is the flag you chose consistent with Connecticut? |

Oh. I see you quoted Lefferts on your blog. |

Device on flag was copied from Continental $4 USD Bill (and mine is exact copy of it )
It has no association with any state. |

I think you're good then. It has period "heraldry". We are in the dark with about 95% of all American AWI flags, and your design is as good an educated guess as any. Heck, most of Richardson's Gostelowe flags are conjecture. |

The only two things I changed from Richardson's version were: - a blue canton - wildboar in natural color Both inspired with Waxhaws' colours |

Nicely done! Sherburne's additional regiment is my favorite continental regiment. |

Combination of brown, green and yellow is unbeatable. |

At the risk of being a "party pooper" this uniform was only worn from early 1779, late 1778 at best, and may well have been the last – of several – uniforms worn by the regiment, as it was disbanded in early 1780. As such, this uniform was probably never worn in combat, and quite possibly may not have been worn by the entire regiment. Formed in 1777, from CT and RI men (and possibly some MD men later on) there is no official uniform listed for the regiment; the dress maciek has depicted comes from five deserters in Jan/Feb 1779, so is as close as we're likely to get. In 1777, a deserter was recorded in a "light" coloured coat faced red, and in mid-1778, a single deserter in a blue coat faced white, are the best anyone has managed to find for the earlier period. In 1780, it was combined with Samuel Webb's regiment (also from CT), which later became the 9th CT regiment, and finally the 3rd FT regiment of 1781 until the war's end. |

And your point is????? And I can dress the 23rd Royal Welch Fusiliers in at least 4 different uniforms, depending on the year. No one in his right mind will have the proper uniforms for each uniform at every stage of the war. Note my use of "in his right mind". I am talking about wargamers. |

I'm not a big fan of figures in the more diminutive scales, but I like your interpretation of Gostelowe no. 6! |

@SM :) I think I must live with informations you provided. Thanks for all kind comments, guys. |

It wasn't meant to be a criticism, just so people are aware. Your figures, your rules – very nicely painted, just a shame it's not a bigger unit. |
