Based on the supposed 'Spaziergang mit einer Blasmusikkapelle' (walk with a brass band) that the Austrians assumed the campaign would be. The campaign proved more difficult and costly than at first expected. Irregular Serbs and muslims (supported almost openly by departing Ottoman Turks) made the k.u.k pay for their over optimism. To make a game of it, our Turks have openly intervened to stop the Austrians. Also, we know, by this period, most Austrians would be in grey uniforms rather than white – so what?…it's a 'what if' scenario anyway! In our game, the Austro-Hungarians aggressively attacked losing a shocking amount of casualties. Nevertheless, the Austrian cavalry drove their Ottoman counterparts from the field and outflanked the entire Turkish position forcing them to withdraw.

Actually I think the Austrians were in blue tunics by then although grey overcoats could be worn. My Austrian army is a mix of white coats and grey . I couldn't stand not to have some white coats. |
