So how do they measure up compared to Perry. I have painted Perry.

But i prefer my Americans in firing line.
And the militia do look good on pictures

Let me start by saying that construction of plastic kits has never been my strong suit. In addition, at age 68, my fingers are none too nimble and my eyesight is worse. I have put together the Perry Brits and Americans plus the WGF Brits, Americans, militia, Indians and artillery. For ease of construction I'd go Perry any day in the week. However for variety of poses the WGF guys are the clear winners. I'm not crazy about some of the WGF poses; some of them have a decided hump shouldered look that I am not keen on. I think the WGF figures are more fiddly to put together (I have assembled two US line, two British line, two militia line, four Hessians, three artillery and one Indian so I think I have some experience). Their firing line figures are first rate. Now I have switched up arms on the Perry Brits and US. Heresy for some but a little filing and paint covers up a lot of that so that can increase the poses. And I have supplemented Perry plastics with Perry metal which, while more pricey, has a great deal of variety. I have not painted any of them yet but I think the WGF will look fine. Obviously they will all be in their own units and not mixed. One last thing that bugs me is the WGF stands. As you know the Perry boys come with a nice thin stand attached. I like that much more than the square stand provided with WGF. I do not plan to use the WGF stands. So I have both manufacturers. Generally Perry is way easier; but generally WGF has more poses although some are not appealing to me. Hope that helps. H
