So I have an idea for a flying carpet game, with tiles the racers pass through, with various city elements. Since I quit playing RPGs about 25 years ago, I hope somebody can point me at a map of some middle eastern city that would inspire tile design. I don't want to copy somebody's map, I want to see what elements are important for a fantasy Arabian city. |

Maybe check on boardgamegeek.com for Arabian or Sinbad-themed games. There you may find your map. Good Luck, sounds very fun. |

Whilst on BGG take a look at the tiles for Five Tribes. They have temples, markets and towns. |

Google maps? Or the satellite view? You should be able to find maps handily on-line, but they won't necessarily tell you much. You could also look at ancient maps/3-D models of places like Jerusalem back in the day. |

I've got some old photocopies of Arabic cities (from working on Al-Qadim). I'll see if I can dig those up and scan them for you. |

I actually have some maps of Arab cities, but they are from the Portuguese in the 16th century and don't show fine details. |
