Hi. Now I have gt eye surgery out of the way I am looking to revisit plans for Pulp Gaming during my recovery. I wanted to do some Thuggees similar to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I bought the Crooked Dice Thugees as part of the S.H.I.V.A. pack and I want to get a few more similar models. Ths is a link to Cooked Dice website: link And better more detailed pic from crooked dice showing front and back: link PIcture from Indiana Jones wiki:
I guess I am lookinh for some northern Indian/Sikh/Afghan figures that had both the tunics and the turbans.
Weapons wise either muskets of curved swords or mixture would do. These will be Pulp Allry henchmen so ok if a bit plainer than Crooked Dice Thuggees (as these will probably be the cult's officers & NCO's). Note: I am NOT looking at Bob Murch's Pulp Thuggees, Very nice models but too different style wise to the look of Crooked Dice / Indiana Jones Thuggees.
Thanks very much James |

But he said he was NOT looking at those figures. As he said, very nice figures (I love Bob's Pulp figures and I have a load) but very different from the style of the ones he already has. |

Nice one thanks Richard= that was exactly the sort of thing looking for. And thanks John – yeah nice figures if I was only ysing that style but as I've started with Crooked Dice style and want to get close to Temple of Doom style. Cheers James |

Perhaps the Harwood Sinbad assassins & cultists may be of interest? link You could also take a look at Foundry's Indian Mutiny/Sikh Wars, link |

I am very partial to Artizan designs Sikhs….although they have guns….I think they are more menacing….w the right paint job maroon and black! Listed under British commonwealth. Copplestone castings has some Sikhs too ( gun kind though) 👳🏾 The crooked dice guys could be the fanatics and the others the chattel |

Thanks Huscarls – I had forgotten that Foundry tend to have done most periods. Thanks Twoball Cane – these are WW2 figures -I am presuig that they would work for \Inter War period? And yes very much – the Crooked Dice guys will be the minions and the rest would be expendable chattel. I emailed Studio Miniatures to see if I could get their Afghams just in Turbans (all their packs are 50-50 mixture between turbans and caps). If so that would give me enough guys split between muskets snd swordsmen which would work fine. |
