Hello fellow gamers! My gaming group has started up a new Age of Reason campaign. One of our players lives over seas so I started making videos to recap each turn summary. As the campaign has only started, there is only the initial setup video and turn 1. As the campaign progresses, I intend to not only make a video for each turn, but to make a battle report video for each battle that occurs. No battles as of yet, but hopefully we'll be getting some soon. youtu.be/vEs3hXRAvXo youtu.be/KKf7XCJXty8 The first link is turn 0—initial setup, the second link is turn 1. I'd be interested in hearing the community's thoughts and armchair quarter-backing regarding the player's decisions as the campaign progresses. |

Cool campaign, I will be following the progress of this. One thing I do notice is for example: France has only 1 SP to start in all of northern France, is that not very risky they could lose half their homeland to one invasion? Or would they get some sort of reaction build? |

Yeah, Northern France is the capital territory, and if that territory is captured then France must cede a number of territories to the victor and the two may not attack each other for 3 turns. Two things in France's favor: first, neither French territory can be invaded by sea (neither can England or Scotland, or other capital territories), so the invader must come over land. Second, France has worked out agreements which may or may not be revealed in future turns. Also, each country has certain territories which are militia areas, which if invaded grant additional troops to the battle above whatever SPs are present. |
