Saw the kit and the model is of an M109A1 or later. The original M109 had a shorter barrel (and shorter range). If you are fighting Vietnam you would use the M109 and could even use the vehicle (with a conversion) for an M108 (same vehicle with a 105mm gun).

I served in two different field artillery battalions equipped with the M109A1 while I was in service

ALL of the TY models that I have seen look great. However(personal preference here) while a great deal of the components of the game, (especially the MBT's) are plastic, I do wish the SP guns were as well.

IF.. any out there feel the same, I found that Zvezda also does both US and Soviet SP Art. in 1/100 – 15mm. Of course they are Not on par with BF and the like on detail. However I have seen some side by side pics of their models compared to others and they are well done.

Just a bit of FYI for my fellow "Fantastic Its Plastic!" gamers.)
