i understand that is a weird and difficult to answer question but i discovered this Polish company (Puppetswar) that, among other things, sell those spare "Desert Type" heads ..also if Heroic, Modern and belonging to a Fantasy genre they are very well designed..the only ones that perfectly catch the look of French Méharistes..they could be , for me, very usefull to convert various Arab/Méharistes types for my French Colonial project.(spare méharistes, mg/gun crews, eccc..).the bodies that i'll like to convert with those heads will be typical wargame minis ..probably from Essex, Perry, WF, OG…as i have no experience with "Heroic" type fantasy minis or bits..would you think they 'll be OK or they risk to be too large for average 28mm historical metal minis..?
thanks

Unfotunately, would guess too large for regular 28mm historical miniatures.

If you look at some of their figures they sat maximum height is 33mm. My Hasselfree Modern Troopers measure 31mm bottom of foot to top of head. Eureka modern soldier 29mm bottom of foot to top of head. Wargames Factory 29mm for same. Both are also smaller in bulk compared to the HF minis. Warlord are shorter.

Those *are* terrific heads, and I think they would be more "forgiving" of sized difference than say, a WWII helmeted head. I bet they'd be much too big for the Perry figures, but might go on the OG figures. Probably the only way to find out is to order a pack. Post pictures when and if you do.

I have put these very heads on Perry 28mm figures and with a bit of blending in they looked really good. It may depend on the figures you use, but, based on my experience, I think that it is worth a go.

Artilleryman, Can you post some pics. Very interested in what you've done.

I think they would be great for converting the Gripping Beast Arab plastics.
