I am working on a book of scenarios for the Wars of the Polish and Austrian Succession. The Polish war has two battles: Parma and Guastella. I can find plenty of info on Guastella but not much on Parma. There is a German website that has a map and a description in German of the battle. I had a buddy do a quick translation. There is also a very basic Wiki entry and a short account in Sutton's King's Honor… However none of it seems to make much sense. I just can't grasp what actually happened.

Does anyone know of any other sources or have a good
description of the battle.

You can reach me privately at hmslydia@msn.com

Thanks.

Hello
Wars of the 18 c. are certainly not my cup of tea…but maybe you can also try to find google stuf in Italian by writing "Battaglia di san Pietro 1734"…the battle of Parma was known according..

There was also the Battle of Bitonto 1734 between Spain and Austria in southern Italy. There was a discussion and OOB posted here on TMP a while back.
