Have you ever helped run, assist, volunteer, GM at a game convention? Check all that apply?

A. Fund, as in actually donate to or back financially, other than as a paying attendee.
B. Planning/Directing, i.e., convention director, event or vendor coordinator or other similar capacity.
C. Staff volunteer, for registration, loading/unloading, set-up/clean-up, etc.
D. GM or other event sponsor
E. Dealer or vendor.

All of the above for me, though fortunately not all at the same time. Please add whatever I've missed.

B,C,D,E and also A if you count my club sponsoring an event using, in part, my club subscription.

Mind you, I have been in the hobby for more than 40 years so it's not surprising really.

B,C,D and E for me.

B. Historical Minis Coordinator for a TACTICON in Denver.
C. Helped loading/unloading, clean-up, etc.
D. Put on a few games at a con.
E. Vendor: Stone Mountain Miniatures in 1992, Attactix and GFI from 1994 – 2009.

How about the folks that see to other logistical matters like scout out and negotiate for a venue; arrange to see that catering (food and beverage) are available; legal reviews of contracts BEFORE they are signed, etc.? For sure under "B.", but those tasks seem to always go un-noticed.

B, C, D. TolCon in Toledo. From about 1981-1996ish….

Matter of fact, my first miniatures game, "Strike Team Alpha" was featured and I had a 10 second sound bite on the evening new coverage.

Now I just run games…my glory days have passed me by….

All of the above. I started a small, one-day ASL tourney in Chicago, and later ran the ASL Open in Chicago for a few years. I've also put on a couple of games at other cons.

Ran a small today show in Auburn Alabama back in 1984. Too much work for one person even with a crowd of about 60 people. It was hard to enjoy it.
A few one day events over the years but not many.
Helped a few with seminars at shows back in the 1980s.
