I'm looking for 20/25/40 mm round dungeon-stone bases for basing d&d. The only source I've found is from back-to-basix in Australia but shipping to the U.S. is slow and expensive. Can anyone recommend another manufacturer? Thanks. |

Get some MDF bases from whoever and some miliput from someone and model your own. They are not difficult. |

How many do you need? They are fairly easy to make yourself for pennies. The cheapest way would be to cut cobblestones out of thin cardboard and glue them to round bases. Another method I have used is rolling tiny balls of sculpting putty and squashing them onto bases to look like cobblestones. Michaels and Hobby Lobby have a two part mold making compound. link You could make a few using the above methods then make molds and cast as many as you need.

chrach7, I received a number of them from Otherworld Miniatures with some figures. Perhaps they sell them separately? There are loads of resin bases like what you're looking for. |

chrach7 To be honest I find that painting dungeon floor tile patterns on non textured bases is easy and rewarding not to mention, vastly cheaper then buying resin bases. Just a suggestion of course. :) |

If you don't mind a little bit of work, you can either get the cobblestone mats that are sold around a lot of major holidays with the village sets. They can be cut up rather easily and used as base toppers. You can also use textured wallpaper or the various textured "fabric" that are available at various stores such as the basketball cover type. |

The only source I've found is from … Australia but shipping to the U.S. is slow and expensive. *Maniacal laugh* Welcome to my world! Shipping from anywhere TO Australia is slow and expensive! Seriously though, similar to what chuck05 said, I cut individual stones out of plain 1mm plasticard and glue them to plastic bases made from 3mm plasticard. It takes time, but looks good. I've also made moulds of some for casting in resin. Alternatively, there is plasticard with cobblestone and brick patterns pressed in to them for model railway enthusiasts. Sheets of that can be glued to bases. |

Cobblestones, dirt, rocky soil, muddy tunnels, bare stone… There are no building codes for dungeons. |
