I am considering placing an order from Foundry, but before I do I wanted to get people's input who have placed orders with them from the U.S. For example, what are there payment options, how fast is there service, have you had any problems. I have always been tempted by their products, but I am hesitant ordering outside of the U.S. I would appreciate any input that you can give.

I have ordered a few times in the past and have never had any problems. I have heard stories that they are sometimes slow, but I never noticed that for my orders.

I have order from them a couple of time in the last year and got the mini's in a timely fashion.

I stocked Foundry based on what my distributor had. Now they no longer carry it so neither do I.My new distributor carries a limited amount of Perry which I can get but no Foundry.

Never a problem. Usually arrives pretty quickly considering it is international mail.

I ordered from them several times in the last few years and everything arrived quickly and efficiently.

Never had a problem.

I've ordered from Foundry many times over the past 18-19 years. They have had their moments. Things seem to be pretty good over the past few years.
1. They take American money: money order, credit card or PayPal.
2. They have a huge range of figures: sometimes I think they don't have what I want and have to put it in line to be cast, so it has taken up to a month for delivery, other times, about two weeks.
3. They have always been helpful if here is a problem, and problems have been very few--I think twice in all that time.

I've always used PayPal. Delivery takes 2 to 6 weeks depending on if they have to cast or the mood of Royal Mail or U.S. Customs.

In the years I've used them there's only been one order that had a problem & they were quick to resolve it.

I order pretty regularly, maybe 4-5 times a year, and have never had an issue. My last order was in February for some paint and the package arrived around 10 days after the order was placed.

I've ordered a couple times in the last couple years, both were good experiences.

Rich Bliss25 Mar 2016 8:55 a.m. PST

I just placed a other order this week. Never had problems before Nd don't expect one now.

No problems with them on my end, and they always answered my emails when I had questions. This close to Easter, however, be prepared to wait a little longer for your order, as it seems everyone over there in Mother England takes a week of vacation during this time. I ordered from them during Easter once. Once…

it seems everyone over there in Mother England takes a week of vacation during this time.

Who wouldn't, Good Friday and the following Monday are Bank [National] Holidays on full pay (it's the law; if you work it's double money) so everyone who can tags a few days leave on one end or the other, or both.

BTW. We get the Monday because Easter Sunday is a weekend day. It works the same if Christmas or New Year's Day fall on a Sunday – when you also get the Monday as well. For many [industrially unionised] people, Sunday is also double money, because it's a Sunday. Stringing it all together you can earn a bucket full of cash at Easter, or take a good break that doesn't count towards the four weeks vacation you get on full pay by law.

Whenever you order from Overseas to the US remember that an item may be held up by US Customs rather than slow shipping. I placed an order with Hasslefree in the UK, they shipped immediately via Air Mail but thanks to US Customs I didn't get it for three weeks. But then again sometimes I've gotten stuff from the UK (to Texas) in a little over a week. From what others have told me 2 weeks seems about average.

Orders arrive quickly but twice they were missing shields and/or spears. However, those were cheerfully and quickly provided as well.

So no issues for me.

raylev325 Mar 2016 2:45 p.m. PST

Always had fast service to the US. Never a problem.

Buck21525 Mar 2016 2:52 p.m. PST

Olicana- by no means was I complaining about England taking time off for Easter, no sir. I am jealous of them! I mentioned the holiday because the folks at Foundry explained they were on vacation. Hey! We all need vacation now and then, right? The Foundry guys offered no excuses (pewter shortage, a fire, a tornado, etc.) for my order taking so long, because they were on vacation and were honest about it. Understandable. No prob. It's cool, and I will order from them again…

Mako1125 Mar 2016 3:03 p.m. PST

Yea, I had a package held up for about a month (plastic models) from the UK a while back.

It was UK customs fault, and not that of the shipper.

Never had a problem. Sometimes it can be a bit slow especially during sales when they get hit hard, but they do pretty well…

Thank you for all of your help. It sounds like they are trustworthy.

I've ordered from them twice in the last 12 months -- no problems.

olicana26 Mar 2016 3:29 p.m. PST

Buck215, I wasn't having a go at you, honestly. I was just boasting.

Blake Walker26 Mar 2016 7:02 p.m. PST

I'm happy with Foundry. I've ordered large amounts of 28mm FPW figures in the past and had few problems. What problems were quickly resolved. The USPS destroyed a box of French Cuirassier Foundry sent. I got replacement figures for my trouble. I'll do business with them in the future…

In May, I purchased lots of Normans from Foundry. I received my package in less than 2 weeks time -- UK to Midwest US. All items accounted for, plus spears included.

I also placed an order with Gripping Beast 2 days earlier than Foundry, GB came 1 week after Foundry.

So I will definitely be doing more business with Foundry.

edmuel200008 Jun 2016 11:46 a.m. PST

Have done so many times, recently as well.

It's completely transparent that they are in the UK and I'm in the US. Add item to shopping cart, check out, wait for package--same experience as online shopping with a US firm.
