I've been playing war games for over 40 years and I've seen some bizarre, shocking and funny things happen in that time. But, I'm glad to report that I can still be surprised at the way a game progresses in general.

I recently played a Paltzig [Kay] 1759 scenario solo to test it before unleashing it on my friends. I played it solo first because as a scenario it had all the makings of a complete stinker. I was surprised by the result [of my solo game] so I decided to give Peter and Graham a bash – to quote Victor Meldrew "I don't believe it!"

That was fantastic! Thanks so much for posting and all your other AARs. I too was thinking of setting up the battle next weekend to try out some new units painted!
