I know Old Glory makes some good miniatures for the price. Who else carries a good selection at a good price? Thanks Moe (and don't you dare say Battlefront) |

Try QRF. I'm doing the West Germans and QRF is the only one who makes them. They also have other nations I recommend you check them out. |

Problem with QRF is that are pretty much on par with BF $$-wise. But they do have models available that BF does not carry |

The price don't vary that much across manufacturers in 15mm, I find. It should be noted that QRF, PP and Command Decision tend to be a bit on the slim side compared to Battlefront. Not too bad but it can be noticeable. |

If you are trying to save $$ but want pretty figures go with GHQ or PFC in C at 1/285th scale. I personally am going to do Team Yankee in 3mm Pico armor, already ordered and on the way to me. Quality casting has 15mm stuff as well. |

I also have 3mm Pico Armor. I just didn't see how I could use them individually for TY. I was planning on using them on platoon bases. My 6mm or 1/72 stuff would possibly be used with TY. Thanks, John |

We get cheaper, the more you put in the cart. And we must be having a sale around this time of the year…. It should be noted that QRF, PP and Command Decision tend to be a bit on the slim side compared to Battlefront Or… It could perhaps be that Battlefront are a bit on the big/fat side compared to, well, most other mainstream manufacturers? |

QRF is good and I sold them easily. I have also sold a lot of Quality Castings which is sold by Battlehonors USA. |

QRF and Old Glory are my go to sources. |

Thanks folks for the info. I plan on purchasing some to get painted up and auction off at this years Toys for Tots at Fall In since Team Yankee is a hot new game. This will save us some money. Moe |

Actually, after a mad rush of sales of BMP-1s and T-64s at the beginning of the year, we have noticed sales have already moved to the fringe items, ACRV, scout vehicles, etc |

I was talking to Chas about the scud only earlier this week. You were mentioned. He's also sending me the Dana master to Czech… Sorry check over |

Geoff – LOL, yeah, makes more sense that way :-) I like both styles, just not always in the same unit. |

I can understand your point. A member of the usual group has Pico. I find them to be somewhere between amazing and bizarre. Such actual detail in such small, no, 'micro-scopic" scale. Thats like TY, I love the models they look incredible! So if (or when) I take the plunge to join in, I will probably go w/ the 15mm, just as Im hopeing to do w/ PSC WW II. But when considering modern armor and range, it seems that 6mm – 1/285 scale would have a more accurate look it. Im recalling reading an AAR of a 28mm BA game of Tank War. the models.. Great. But to see 2 models about 6 or 7 inch's in size, no more than 6 in. apart, and annoucing; "OK, we're now at close range." Or something to that effect, I could only grin and reply: No kidding. ) It just seemed to push my suspension of disbelief to its limit there and still take the game serious. |

Late add on here.. As for "Cheap" 15mm figs for Team Yankee, I failed to suggest the Russian company, Zvezda. I will be honest, they are Not on the same level of detail as Battle Front or the Plastic Soldier Company, however they do make 'nice' models AND they make more in plastic if, like me, your not comfortable with resin models. Along with US and USSR MBT's, they also have the SP Arty for both forces in plastic, as well as some BDR's and the Bradly. All of these avg. about $9 USD each. Just some FYI there. |

If we're shifting the discussions to vehicles, I don't think anybody makes a better 15mm BMP-1 than the Command Decision version from OG. With the member deal it's 3 models for $16. USD The T-72s and M-113s are very nice also and same price. No M-1s. |

Those who have Zvezda models have posted that unfortunately, they only seem to pay "close" attention to the detail of the Russian models. The general opinion was that their US M-1 and the Bradly were "terrible" thats a quote. My experience was from a previous forum, and a member posted 'side-by-side' pics of Zvezda's WW II T-34 with that of a few other makers. |

Can't believe Zvezda hasn't pulled their M-1 model, and redone it, since it is atrocious. Wasn't aware their Bradley was so bad. |
Part time gamer | 21 Jul 2016 4:44 p.m. PST |
If its as bad as some and now you *Mako11 have said, that can only lead me to one conclusion: Their primary or 'only' real concern is for their At Home sales volume and little or none what so ever for world wide distribution. |
