Bonjour Chaps,

Just wondered if anyone could tell me what colour the horse furniture should be on the train horses?

I'm painting some of the rather splendid Westfalia ones at the moment and would prefer to be accurate if possible.

With thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Paul

Hi von Winterfeldt,

Very helpful, particularly the last image.

Interesting to see that they are holding serious whips!

Many thanks.

Cheers,

Paul

I love the horses Westfalia have produced. They are serious critters that look like they could pull cannon. Not the emaciated nags of the Retreat from M that generally we see.

Snag for me is;

I cannot find drivers that can sit on them……….even bending their metal legs in abduction.

I am worried that Westfalia have gone awfully quiet on the Napoleonic front. I know, they do say "occasional releases" but…………

Hi Deadhead,

Kawe at Westfalia did promise that riders were in the pipeline so I too can't wait to buy some as I've got 4 limber teams already and intend to buy another 6.

Yep, I like limbers in general and the Westfalia ones in particular.

Cheers,

Paul

Bonjour Chaps,

In a very rapid response to an e-mail I sent him Kawe at Westfalia said:

"Paul Hicks is working on the Saxon light cavalry at
the moment and they should be ready within the next 4-5
weeks. Then we will do Trainr soldiers and a prper high command."

I can't wait for these!

Some Saxon Heavy cavalry and Baden Light Dragoons would be nice too!

Cheers,

Paul

Anything new from Westfalia would be wonderful. I do not care if they are pontonier genie of the Light Cavalry of the Illyrian Guard……….

They have been too quiet recently!

You are not hinting at Saxon G du C are you? Or Zastrow Cuirassiers….? They could yet end up as my largest single unit on display……even more than the Gend d'Elite! If only……

Bonsoir Deadhead,

"You are not hinting at Saxon G du C are you? Or Zastrow Cuirassiers….? They could yet end up as my largest single unit on display……even more than the Gend d'Elite! If only……"

Ever optimistic moi!

I'm saving-up my pocket-money and raring to get painting.

Back to doing 4 pounders which are somewhat fiddly.

Cheers,

Paul
