I was thinking of trying out these triads for Prussians and Austrians of the SYW period. However the triads are apparently designed for the Napoleonic period. I don't think there would be a problem to employ them for a few decades earlier, but would be interested to hear of other opinions or favorite colors for the SYW. |

I love the Austrian White triad, and have an alternate recommendation for you to consider instead of the Prussian Blue. The Austrian White triad produces an excellent gray white that I use for my WSS stuff. You can see pics of some of them on my blog:https://battleoframillies.wordpress.com/2013/06/07/2nd-of-gondrin-and-painters-block/ For dark blue I use the Andrea blue paint set: link There are 6 bottles of paint and you can get a couple of different shades of dark blue. It's the best paint I've ever used. |
