Yes, it was a granary and apple store during the war. It's right in the countryside, chilly in the winter but lovely in the summer! |

Hope you give better service to your overseas vendors than Reiver did! I've been selling their stuff ten years and usually had to wait six months per order. The last two years they seem to have lost interest in the line entirely! Drop me a line with what items you will be carrying on with and which you'll nobble. With reference to the above comment made by Donald Cameron we have checked our records and we can say the last time anything was ordered from us by him was in July 2012. To say we do not give a good service to our overseas customers is both insulting and surprising. We have received no complaints either in writing or verbally from him which would suggest this is not the case and this is an unwarranted attack. All trade orders from him were posted out within 2-3 weeks depending on demand and the statement of usually having to wait 6 months is not correct. As requested by him we even made the packages smaller so they would be cheaper to send and any alleged delays could only be because of customs or the postal service. The 20mm ranges were always carried to shows and made available for customers interested in purchasing them right up until they were bought by Sgt's Mess. Reiver Castings decision to no longer continue making 20mm figures was purely commercial as we concentrated on our 28mm ranges. To make a comment regarding our interest in 20mm figures is unnecessary and we wish Sgt's Mess all good fortune for the future. If Mr Cameron had a problem with our business he should contact us direct and not make the attack on a public forum, especially on a feed regarding a news item for another company who are informing the Wargaming fraternity of their purchase and availability of a range of figures. @ Reiver Castings; And I have a file of unanswered e-mails dating from April 2013, so it's sort of a "He said/She said " situation. And the smaller packages were not so the products would be cheaper to send, but to avoid conflict with Customs. I work for the Canadian Post Office so I have some knowledge of Customs and Postal regulations. The British Post Office uses a Service called Parcel Force for parcels over 1Kg. in Gross Weight. These can wait up to six weeks before being posted in shipping containers, to reduce cost. This means parcels tend to take a while waiting for a container to Toronto, for example; is filled. Good figures, but I was unimpressed with the service. Sorry, Guys! |
