So I have a ton of wargames factory survivors, and almost no experience with model cars. What scale would I use if I wanted to give my survivors spiffy rides? |

I feel 1:56 to 1:50 are most in scale, 1:48 is the largest I normally go. Especially with the WF survivors which aren't as bulky as some of the metal 28mm lines. On the other hand I know many folks who insist on 1:43 because that scale is cheaper, more common, and has the "bulk" those folks feel is appropriate. Ultimately choose a scale and stick with it, cars out of scale with each other stick out more than those out of scale with the figures. |

1:64 – they'll be a little small, but are cheap and plentiful. |

If I have any doubt about vehicle size I scale things from real life, photos or even stand next to a van or car. Zombicide fits 1:43 fine and you WF figures I own some as well, are within human size range |

Go to CVS Pharmacy, they have a rack of them as well as trucks for $5.00 USD, they are perfect. |

Sounds like I am heading to cvs with a mini in hand! |

I've been to at least 5 CVS's and none of them have cars. |

Thanks for the tips guys, I got some great 1:32 die cast cars (3 muscle, 3 pickup) for $5.99 USD each at our local Walmart competitor. I wouldn't have checked toy sections without the tips. |

Of the easily available I'd say that 1:64 are way too small, especially if figures have thick bases (slots bases). 1:32 are much too big. 1:43 is closest, though still on the large side. Best advice is to carry a figure around with you and put it against the vehicle and decide if it works for you. |

@MajorB crap you are right. I completely forgot that people are generally taller than cars, I was just looking at the door sizes when I bought them. Guess I am off to return some toy cars tonight. |

1/43 is a pretty usable scale, lots of car models exist in it. 1/48 for military subjects. They're a bit big, but a slottabase is about 3mm thick and adds the equivalent of about 7" to a mini's height. |

1:50 to 1:48 scale…I carry a figure with me when on the hunt for cars n trucks… |

Walmart has a line of cars called either Action or Adventure Wheels that are about right. The run $3.97 USD each. The scales vary slightly but are mostly in the 1:43-1:46 range. I picked up a transfer truck for my Zombicide figures for $10 USD there and it scales pretty darn well. |

I use 1/48-1/50. If the vehicle is 1.5" to 1.75" wide, then it'll be good. I'm not so much concerned about the height of a car as its length and width as shown by the examples below because I'm looking down at the table.
the two on the right are repainted
All of these are from the dollar store or Walmart. This one is a 1/43 beetle after I took a ball peen hammer to it and repainted it
