Not sure if folks have seen this, but a new Conan RPG with quite a mass of free-bies and add-ons.

Not long to go though. I might indulge in this one.

I'm in. Even if I don't run their 2d20 system, the source material, campaign themes, etc, are all worth it to me.

They just added all the d20 Conan pdfs as freebies as well.

Anyone going for the £1,300.00 GBP pledge level? Truly bonkers.

The £1,300.00 GBP pledge gets a wooden box to throw your dice in, that's basically what differentiates it from the mere £950.00 GBP pledge level. 3 people have plumped for it so far *eye-swivelling mentalism smiley*

Insane as many peoples' pledges are, I really have to take my hat off to Modiphius for how they ran the kickstarter, keeping a fever pitch going for a month with almost daily, breathless updates and reveals so that backers are falling over themselves to give up many hundreds of pounds each for a table top pen and paper rpg. That will be available at less than retail from online sellers anyway once the books are printed. Chris Birch, Modiphius head honcho is a marketing genius. Anyone doing research into retail psychology could get a whole PhD out of the comments section on this kickstarter.

The £300.00 GBP for all the hardback books alone, is worth it. And includes all released for two years. Given that most small hardbacks are now £25.00 GBPea.. that's a pretty good saving.

And you get them all in PDF as well. Only odd thing is, they are not including the GM shield.. which seems strange, but guess they have a reason.

Frankly its looking like some great source material and you can switch between d20 and the 2d20 system. A real bonus.

I left RPGs decades ago, but I'm such a Conan fan I might have to throw in for a rule book. I've gotta think about it.

And what I dreaded happened, my card lapsed and the new one hasn't arrived yet … No kickstarter for me.
