Hey all!

Well, I finished the first unit!

Hope you all can come by and take a look… could use some advice on the basing… best to do snow all the way around? Or leave it as it currently looks, with the brown edging?

Thanks!

Looks fine to me. Like you, I've found white paint to be a critical ingredient.

A single layer of glue and flock does basically nothing. I frost bottoms of shoes with that but that's it.

I gather that our brethren who wargame would throw a dice for a morale score for these poor devils. That poor lad with the eagle….he would rate -2….tells you how well is his face painted. I never do eyes..ever…….

These Retreat figures are brilliant castings, but a challenge to paint. I have seen them done, on this forum, as "prize winning" and I said they were truly awful. Brilliant use of vibrant colour is not right for December in Russia.

These are just artistic. They look frozen. Subdued. Perfect.

They make me want to buy the Perry figures, much more than the obviously brilliant work on their website. So skillful, but not like frozen scarecrows

I can forgive some extravagant items as several accounts mention the absolute motley of theater and women's clothing that was worn.

Those figures are gorgeous.

If anyone is interested I do have a bunch of extra unpainted Perry Retreat from Moscow figures, I'm working on a Retreat from Moscow game and bought more than I'm ever going to need.

Pleas email me at Rdfraf@aol.com
