I recently tried out the later full fat armies in a 1917 game of squarebashing. For a full AAR please swing by my blog

Nice report and pictures. I go the rules last December and am building up a LW German and US force for the 100 days campaign in Belgium. The Battlefront trenches are very helpful.

Thanks for posting.

Excellent report, sounds like nothing went well for the French.

A very interesting report Simon. I like your subtle dots!
I usually use an early war French army, with a pointless frontla assault which will one day carry all before it!

Great report Simon. I have late war British and Germans but need to paint up my late war French (then maybe some early war Belgians). The asset section of Square Bashing does add flavour to the game making it very unpredictable and difficult to have absolute control once the attack starts – as happened in the real thing. Where did you get your markers?

The markers are acrylic cut from Warbases
