Despite the stories internal chronological inconsistencies I want to see if there is a timeline for Tarzan that is not polluted by Farmer, Hollywood, and Disney additions/deletions/changes.

I can try and reproduce such on my own from my books (23 Tarzan canonical books and biographies about the author) but if the wheel has already been invented…

Please provide links if they exist.

Thanks in advance. And yes, I think this has been probably been asked before on many forums but I don't remember if/where I think I saw such.

An example of attempting to blend separate story lines that is exactly what I do not want.

And of course (insert eye roll icon) I started that thread but wanted to ensure others did not point me to it since it is what I am trying to avoid.

PDF link

I found this PDF that combines most, if not all, of the E.R.B. tales into one timeline.

Rvandusen, please read second post. I have that and it definitely not what I asked about in the OP

Sorry ochin it seems pretty sparse if I am looking at it right.

I found something on another computer Friday but I have not forwarded the link to myself yet. It tracks the various time lines of ERB books without other additions. Monday I will be at that computer and will send myself the link then post it later.

Thanks to all that looked.

WTH, a duplicate post separated by another post? I have no idea how that happened!

I'm still not entirely sure what it is he actually wants

Yeah, I went looking yesterday as well, and, outside of a couple of places that put the books and stories in chronological order, nothing like a timeline for Tarzan himself.

I gather even trying to figure the time space between is heavy guesswork.

Geoff: I assumed he wanted a timeline 'Lord Greystoke born in, this happened when, that happened when, died' sort of thing derived strictly from Burroughs efforts.

This is the closest I have found. It may be the bast for my purposes at this time.

praxeology.net/erb-series.htm

It shows the order of the books, give an indication of when cross-over occurs and what isn't (in the writer's mind) "kosher" and what doesn't connect and cross-over but no dates. I will use a modified form of the Win Scott Eckert time line (minus what I feel is not adding to where I am going) for rough dates.

I am looking for a chimera I expect but I like to insert games in the time frame of the books (and I have some historical gamers who actually participate in VSF games and it helps to give a rough date (year) for the setting.)

Right now it is Tarzan but Mars, Venus, and Pellucidar games related to the Tarzan ones would be suitable for future games.)

Sorry - only verified members can post on the forums.
