I'll go you one better… As a youngster, my father was close friends with a worker at the local dairy that supplied most of the milk for our town. This was in the days of home delivery back in the 1960s. Anyway, a bunch of friends got together and put in an order for a batch of green milk for St. Paddy's Day. All went well until my mother used some to make mashed potatoes for supper. GREEN mashed potatoes did not go over well. I don't believe anybody ate any. The story come up just about every March 17th and we still laugh about it. |
