"Anyone tried the playtest Walking Dead or Project Z rules?" Topic

I've backed the Kickstarter for Mantic's Walking Dead game and have the test rules downloaded. Unfortunately all my zombies are still boxed away after my recent house move so I have not had a chance to test them out. :(

Has anyone done so and would like to share their experiences?!

The same goes for Project Z, although after a read through of both, Mantic's rules appeal to me more.

Not much to read, but some on Dakka have downloaded the rules and tried or read them.

Myself, I'm going to try Asuka's AR:SE rules, and All Things Zombie. I already have too many zombie mini's to buy more…!

Thanks. I'll have to dig out my zombies and try myself then! I'm a big ATZ fan as well, but I like how some of the WD mechanics read and think it might be a good alternative for when I want something less deep and RPG like.

The walking dead rules are very good, and you can build and flesh out the hero`s as well, rules for looting, buildings, night time, noise, ammo etc. Rules spread over the expansions.

Project Z…. simple zombie rules, one off type of thing, no one detailed to the walking dead.

Thanks. That's useful. From what I read about WD and the expansions it does seem to have the potential for being more involved. PZ seemed to read as more simple, so it's good to see you think similar. Still want to play both of them though. :)
