The good news is that, in their Elite series, Osprey will be offering the following title:

British Light Infantry & Rifle Tactics of the Napoleonic Wars by Philip Haythornthwaite.

The bad news is that it won't be available until 20th October.

But it should be an interesting title to go with the rest of the Osprey Tactics series and is now on my list to get.

Thanks for the heads up!

No problem. I appreciate it when others share new titles they have heard about. It is so easy to miss them sometimes.

But I just can't seem to reduce my to-get list. Every time I mark one off, along come more titles to add. I guess we are spoilt in that area, but I'd rather be spoilt in that area than nothing being published at all.

Brilliant title…instant purchase, whatever. I wish it was a different format to Osprey's. Found something in a second hand shop, David Gates, The British Light Infantry Arm 1790-1815 with 180 pages of text. Marvellous. £8.99 GBP

Let me take that back. Osprey can be great. Nice pictures (very, according to the title) but the text….variable…….inevitably. My shelf groans with their output, so why do I……? But I do…..sometimes

In my case, almost every new book being offered recently and those forthcoming, seem to be an instant purchase or must have when available. Will it never end! LOL
