Hey all!

Well, I've started basing and painting my "Retreat from Moscow" Perry French army!

It is a smaller project, with four units of infantry, a unit of cav, and some sleds, but it should have a lot of fun extras… not sure I've seen an actual playable force done using these figures yet!

Anyway, the first unit has gotten the start of paint… so please do come on by and take a peek!:)

Wow – they make me feel cold just by looking at them

Great work

It is start of warm autumn here in New Zealand and I wanted to light a fire after checking those guys out.

Very evocative. What rules will you be using?

Hey guys!

Thanks for the kind words. They'll look a lot more cold when they are knee deep in snow!:D

I actually don't game much, so I don't have any rules picked out… I just make armies for the fun of having armies on shelves to look at. Is that wrong?:) I suppose that you could use them for whatever rules you enjoy?

very nice figures – the colours look very vivid, maybe you could try to add a bit grey to desaturate them a bit.

Wow, brilliant, they almost make me want to give up painting 6mm scale-almost.

Wise not to tackle. The Retreat in 6 mm scale? First fall of snow would they not all disappear……..?

Seriously, these must be Perrys' best ever sculpting. Superbly animated and designed
