I have a vast horde of GW night goblins and want to build a themed army of slave/subservient goblins who serve under the night goblins..
I figured the easiest and cheapest way to achieve this is to use smaller scale goblins as the slaves!

What is the height difference between a 1/72 goblin and a night goblin? Is it a lot?
Also how well would 1/72 alliance wargs scale with GW gobbos?

Let me know

Thanks
Austin

Personally I would not pay much attention to the differences. Just use the fantasy equivalent of pseudohistorical bovine excrement and play on.

Here is a link to Caesar's 1/72 Goblins. The Dark Alliance Warg Riders are actually Orcs, but they are comparable in size. Once painted, they will pass for Goblins, easily. Here is a photo of them, with a ruler (centimeters):

Here is my blog page discussing them for use in my 2nd Ed. BattleSystem games. Cheers!

Night Goblins are much beefier by comparison as well. Will try to get a pic for you tonight.

Don't look past Splintered Lights 20mm gobbos, and I think they're sculpted by Bob Olley, which means they'll be plenty beefy.

Some of the models in the splintered light range look superb.

I'm afraid they'll be too small though.

Thanks

I believe Sean's Wargames Corner will shine some light on the subject!

I went ahead and ordered several boxes.
Worst case scenario I will use the gobbos as snotlings and the wargs as unit fillers for my squigs.

Will post pics when I get everything

Thanks

Thanks for posting a link to my site Cragglow, reminds me I still haven't painted these. I think for Snotlings you might want to go for the Splintered Light 15mm Goblins I think. I really like all of SLM's stuff. CP Models carries the Bugbear and Lizardman lines now. Something else I've had in the queue for far too long.

No problem Sean! Its a good blog, I think, with great pics! I shoulda grabbed those bugbears from SLM, but another project is still underway so CP will be getting a visit at some point! I almost want to get Bob Olley to sculpt some more of those 20s they are SO good looking!

Let me know if you do Cragglow. I'd probably go for a kickstarter or something along those lines.
