I've been watching it on and off for some time on netflix and it's very good.

It's not more "childrens" tv then any of the movies.
The stories are just as deep and complex as the movies. The action(especaly the space battles) Are superb!

I would rate the series as 2nd best incarnation of Star Wars, only lower then Knights of the old Repiblic 1.

Yep, I'd agree, The Clone Wars CGI cartoon series is quite good. So good it makes me admire and sympathetic with Anakin, something the actual movies completely failed at. :)

I haven't seen Rebels yet, but I'm crossing my fingers that it is equally good.

Parts of it are quite good – the bits with Yoda in the last, unaired, season are excellent. Skip any episode that focuses on R2, 3PO, or Jar Jar and you should be good.

Rebels is decent enough but the ability of the heroes to get out of ANY predicament is surpassed only by the ability of the A-Team to avoid getting hit by bullets (I am told there is one notable exception on the A-Team)

The first season of Rebels is not up to some of the best of the Clone Wars seasons but it is just getting started. I loved the Clone Wars Seasons. It makes me wish that the Phantom Menace had been skipped and that Attack of the Clones was Episode I.

Agreed on all counts. Clone Wars is great, as long as you're willing to skip liberally when an episode starts to shape up like a stinker.

Rebels started off weak, but I'm really enjoying it now.

I'm enjoying Rebels much more than I did Clone Wars. And the main characters are really coming into their own now.

I watched both. I too am a fan of clone Wars. You can see why Anakin was admired by the Republic and other Jedi rather than coming across like a brat in the movies.

Rebels has gotten better as it goes. I like the addition of Rex and Ashoka.

Agreed. .

Yup Rebels is also good. There are a few dull episodes but the good ones really shine.

Yep, the series does lay a few eggs, but that's mostly balanced out by a few real knockout episodes. And it's not so serial that you can't skip a few if you need to.

I like Rebels but the ridiculously bad aim of the storm troopers is a pet peeve. There is no way the empire could conquer anything if its basic trooper cant hit someone 5 feet from them.

The series gets much more complex – and, by Season 4, very dark

"Well, we're done massacring the villagers – let's do mutilate some bodies"

Dynaman8789 why would you say skip the episodes with Jar Jar Binks there's a few very good ones the 2 parter in the final season is real good.

So please tell me why would you say that?

wminsing I've been watching Rebels and I really like it there's a lot of good stuff in the episodes so you should like it.

I've not felt like i needed to skip any epsodes

@Grinch That's why the Empire built the Death Star: they realize that their troops can't hit anything smaller than a planet.

War Monkey15 Mar 2016 8:33 a.m. PST

I love the series I would say I have watched it about four times now and going for round five now.

Dynaman878916 Mar 2016 5:29 a.m. PST

Cap Gideon – Because I think they stink.

Captain Gideon16 Mar 2016 7:40 a.m. PST

Dynaman8789 well that's your opinion but I think they're pretty damm good IMHO.

But let the people who want to see the Clone Wars make up there own minds if they want to see those episodes or not that's all I'm saying.

chromedog16 Mar 2016 11:02 p.m. PST

I skipped about half of the last season. The stuff that was left was good, though.

That's mainly because those stories bored or were just … hard to watch (anakin's abusive spouse role) or just tedious (Jar Jar doing anything, banking clan financial shenanigans (yawn!).

Rebels is catching its stride, too.
