Yes, in 15mm…
Lots of AARs here: link (But also, occasionally, in private, when no-ones looking, in 20mm as well – once cards for Centurions and T-55s come out…)

No. Not starting another new project. Now targets for Air to Mud aerial gaming in 3mm gaming might induce some buying of vehicles… |
Mako11 | 14 Mar 2016 4:08 a.m. PST |
10mm/12mm is the sweet spot I think, for mixed armor and infantry games. Unofficial stats for other vehicles are available on the forums, and some here on TMP as well, which should do in a pinch, until the official ones are released, or you can just use those for their Middle Eastern rules sets, since they cover your Centurions and T-55s already. |

No,but I am reading the book right now.I was inspired to do so by all the talk of this game! |
Old Wolfman | 14 Mar 2016 7:12 a.m. PST |

Negative, but just because none of my friends do and I don't want to do it as a solo thing. If someone did, I probably would. |
kallman | 14 Mar 2016 11:50 a.m. PST |
I am still assembling and painting and yes doing so in 15mm. In fact sold off my micro armor to help pay for the new collection. Hopefully I will get in my first game sometime in April. |
Lion in the Stars | 14 Mar 2016 12:10 p.m. PST |
Local gang isn't interested, but will play Vietnam or Arab-Israeli wars. Trying to talk them into Aces campaigns for small, quick battles. |
Navy Fower Wun Seven | 14 Mar 2016 12:51 p.m. PST |
And by that time the "OOOH Shiny" brigade will be selling their TY toys I wouldn't bank on it – I've been waiting for a convincing and playable Cold War ruleset since I was wargaming in the very early 1980s… |

Kyoteblue, my friend said the same thing. They wore out fast, did'nt they? |
McWong73 | 14 Mar 2016 11:19 p.m. PST |
Zvezda do a decent Carnation, and is an all plastic kit. I've read the resin ones from BF aren't all that as well. |

Navy Fower Wun Seven And I hope you have nay happy years playing, many players will. However I am sure you know players who are members of "OOOH Shiny" brigade. They grab onto the latest fad play it for months to the exclusion of anything else, then suddenly the net and glossy Mag's are hyping the next big thing and they drop their old toys and start again with their new obsession. My Vietnam 15mm forces are full of battlefront units I picked up when FoW started the Arab Israeli Wars. Kenneth Portner It depends. If you mean the first part no not at all. The only reason I didn't buy TY is I was given a copy as a gift by a good friend. I do own Flames of War, many of the WW II books, all the Vietnam supplements and Fate of a Nation. I have, and will, play games using the rules, I just find they don't push all my buttons and feel the Lardies rules do. In particular I feel that the confusion and friction of a modern war will be better represented using IABNM. Does this make me better than a TY player? No just different. If you mean the second sentence? Well maybe, It wasn't meant to be, but having put up with years of contemptuous glances when we play last years (Or in some cases last centuries) game, or being asked why are you still using those rules why aren't you using the new great thing I don't feel the need to apologise if it is. If the wording of my post made any regular Battlefront player feel I was patronising them that I will apologise for, that was never my intention. Fatman |

Fatman's has the right of it with the gaming magpies. Got a friend who picked up a truckload, painted it, played a couple of games and sold it all on. I've two additional cobras now :) |

This interests me… Is it purely for Russia vs USA… Are their stats/cards for NATO allies, Brits, Canadians, Germans, Danes ect? |
Old Wolfman | 16 Mar 2016 7:05 a.m. PST |
Would like to see that too,Edwulf. BAOR,Bundeswehr,CF Ground and Air,and such. And on the other end,GDR,Poles ,Czechs, other WarPac troops. |
Edwulf | 16 Mar 2016 8:40 a.m. PST |
They don't even have to make figures. Just the rules… if they do I'll be tempted to buy into it. |
Fatman | 16 Mar 2016 8:55 a.m. PST |
The current cards and lists only cover the Soviet/US battles in the book. However i believe that BFront have shown an interest in expanding the range to cover other Cold War forces. Given the popularity of TY, I feel they would be making a mistake not to. While BAOR and Bundeswehr seem likely I think that WARPACT would be limited to Poles, who are in the book, and GDR. I don't think there would be enough demand for the other NATO and WARPACT forces. The good news is that the hype of TY means that several other companies have added new ranges to the extensive ones already available from established companies like QRF and Command Decision. All in all things look bright for Cold War gamers in general and TY players in particular. Now to go and bug Rich Clarke to finish IABNM. ;-) Fatman |
McWong73 | 16 Mar 2016 2:20 p.m. PST |
BAOR and Bundewehr are to be released this year. |
GeoffQRF | 16 Mar 2016 3:46 p.m. PST |
My suspicion is that Zvezda's are true 1/100 scale while BF's are " heroically" proportioned. Somewhat worrying, as 1/100 is actually already really 18mm. That would mean they are more like 20mm than 15mm. …established companies like QRF We are adding things like the Stryker MGS (and about 8 other variants), M114, Leopard 1A1, Humber Pig… |
Fatman | 16 Mar 2016 5:30 p.m. PST |
Yeah Geoff bt you haven't filled the major gap in your cold war range. When are we gonna get a 15mm Imbiss Otto and his van? What BAOR deploymentt would be complete without one? Fatman Who now wants a curry wurst and chips. |
GeoffQRF | 18 Mar 2016 7:11 a.m. PST |
I think I will have to set Chas on making that one |
