Recently found an excellent deal on some 1/1250 Pre-Dreadnoughts. Russo-Japanese, Spanish American and some Austrian, French and Italian vessels.

Wondered if anyone in the Indianapolis area has been playing this time period.

I'm in New Albany, so a bit far, I guess. Otherwise, I'd be quite interested. What rules will you use?

I'm even farther afield up in Michigan. Please advise as to rules. If my finances turn around soon enough I'll consider it.

Hi Doug and Tom,

I am researching rules at the moment, just bought NAVAL THUNDER and in the process of reading it through. Looks interesting so far.

Doug, I travel to Louisville regularly and your only about 1.5 hours from my house. Tom, I also get to Grand Rapids, Michigan every other month for business if that is close to you.

I'll keep you both posted on my project.

There's at least a couple members of the Indianapolis Simulation Society and/or the 19 and One club that do pre-dreads, especially Jeff Nicholls who has extensive collections for the period and has designed a couple sets of rules for them as well.

You might do well to inquire on their Yahoo Groups:
