Hi I'm surprised noone has posted these yet, from the Warlord Games e-mail newsletter link Box set Contains: 12 plastic easy-build French Hussars. 1 additional metal officer and metal horse. 1 additional metal bugler. Optional metal arm for eagle bearer. Cheers James |

Wow First reaction is to be grateful to be able to post anything here today. Secondly, this is the first most of us will have heard of them! Hence, you beat even Tango to this. Lancers to follow Chasseurs of the Line, yes, we all knew of. I love the officer's pose. These will complement the Perry figures superbly. We live in interesting times indeed |

Wow. Great figures – and Warlord sell direct to New Zealand now on our homegrown internet auction site Trademe….might have to take a break from Zulus. |

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. Don't we already have plastic French hussars? How about Russian, Austrian, and/or Prussian cavalry? |

We have french hussars and perry ones can bee used all the way back to the revolution. I also suspect perry ones are better sculpts, as I've never seen any warlord plastic sculpts that are close to perry quality. Also perry gives you 1 extra figure for the same price. Also part 2. I hate the metal command from warlord, seems cheap not bothering to make a command spure. |

It does seem strange putting the one metal command figure in each of these packs (and additional metal arms etc for figure conversion). Personally I don't purchase the plastics, as good as some of them are these days, I still prefer to stick to only metal figures. Hence, if anyone with any of these Warlord packs (French Hussars, Lancers, Chasseurs) wanted to get rid of there additional metal command figures (complete with horse) I'd be interested to purchase from them! Now what I'd like to see are metal French Hussars and Dragoons from Mr Alan Perry! Highly unlikely in the near future, but you never know. Mike |

Are not plastic Prussian or Russian hussars a cinch? Perry infantry heads on Perry French Hussars would be near enough….OK a bit of work on the sheepskin maybe. Austrian hussars, late ones, did they not use cylindric shakos, as Perry French? Confess I have no idea and would genuinely be interested to know if I am wrong |

The Austrian hussar shako was still bell-topped and was distinguished by the unique cording. The appropriate head from the Perrys' French hussar set could form the basis with some work but they do produce a superb metal Austrian hussar. |

Oh true…but 30 years ago I got a few Hinchliffe Austrian Hussars…in the Shako Rouleau…..and I loved them. Took off the oak leaf thing. I remember they had a large hay bag on the saddlecloth. I painted them as French then…God knows where they are now! |

I doubt I will buy these. I have enough Perry French Hussars. Was just sharing the news. Had nt realised the board had been down so just lucky timing on my part. |
