Which I think is what Tom Hanks really said after stirring the O2 tanks on Apollo 13.

This site is an important part of the lives of some anoraks (that may not translate across the pond…it means we should get out more).

I am already getting withdrawal…..cold turkey……the George Harrison song……..

I just know that tomorrow the site will be up and running again. It is the old story "Don't it always seem to go?….You don't know what you've got til it's gone"

Only wanted to paint a couple to try out ak interactive m44 and autumn camo schemes, so wasnt bothered by painting over some of the shoulder boards on the standard uniforms though did paint some black as plenty of photos show officers and even privates added them to the peadot uniform, anyway they came out pretty good so started experimenting by painting more but using different amounts of colour and washes, ones I particularly didnt like I didnt repaint as there are so many variations of the same schemes I thought it would add to the overall rag bag look which I was wanting to achieve, had a go at italian camo trousers too, with every little batch I change the tones and colours of the equipment. All the available waffen ss battlefield figs ive pretty much half done so hopefully il finish the rest some time soon.

Multiple views of same figs. All these figs and the rest of them when they are finished will be for sale to fund buying the ranges a few times over as id like to modify them to my personal tastes. (Thats why boots aint painted and not based)

Thx for looking, comments and advice always welcome.

This is also appearing on a Napoleonic Forum.

I have no problem with that. My title was about Apollo 13 and things going wrong…as here last 24 hours…..

What wonderful painting. I did a 1/32 Hard Plastic Airfix figure (from their Afrika Korps kits) decades ago…in this Autumn camouflage. It was based on a Blandford illustration, from the Bulge.

How much was this used? What periods? We all know the green speckled smock from 1940-45, over traditional Grey green uniform. I could tell you all about Gendarmes d'Elite of Napoleon's Guard, but am truly interested in this outfit…if totally ignorant.

Brilliant work ! The colours are especially convincing, are these all AK colours or Vallejo model colour ?

VERY effective looking peadot scheme, look forward to seeing more, but maybe in AB miniature's ?
