I'm not sure that this particular scenario is all that useful in terms of wargaming but I suppose if you vary the chances of the charge going off and the armoured cars could survive the attack or even one surviving you could have a fight between the guards and the gang.

Not sure that they would fight in real life but, it would make for an interesting scenario.

I think this is more interesting as it shows how violent things were in the 20s. These guys blow up two armoured cars and they then make the armoured cars have a tommy gun mount in the back.

Probably good fodder for some gangster games.
