A great game of urban combat this week as the Quinto Campaign nears its end. After taking the outer defenses and the buildings on the edge of town, the Lincoln Battalion pushes into the town center where they meet resistance from a new Nationalist leader… link

Super nice looking table. Thanks for sharing. That church building is HUGE, yikes. The roads you have, what are those ? some sort of plastic strip? |

Enjoyed it all, but for me the highlight was the water truck: a great piece of colour. |

Thanks for the feedback folks! Weasel, you can find the post on the making of the church here if you're curious: link It's a pretty large building, but sadly the roof is not removable, so the final battle will be more around the church than in it. Doing the interior would have taken more work than the whole piece probably, so I decided to skip it. It does look pretty fine on that hill, if I do say so myself. As for those roads… they're from one of those Christmas miniatures companies, snagged when on sale at a craft store. It's vinyl backing I believe, and the cobblestones are some kind of rubber or plastic. I cut it into strips and did a quick and dirty paint job as an experiment. They are very thin and curl a lot, but overall I think they look more or less ok. If I buy more next year, I'll leave them to flatten for longer than I did these so they hopefully won't curl as much. |

Very cool. I thought it looked like something like that. If you were ambitious, you could probably attach it to some card board to stiffen it up a little. It looks great in the photos as cobbled streets, but it looks like it'd be easy to warp or curl up in the middle of a game :-) |

I'm going to try to flatten it again before I go to cardboard. My thought is that anything heavy enough to really keep it flat will also raise the profile more than I'd like. Lets see how it does after a few weeks under some heavy books… |

yeah, that's a good point and if the card is too thin, it may not help at all. |

Great job on the church. Are you using 1/72 plastics? |
Primalucem | 07 Mar 2016 9:02 p.m. PST |
The vehicles are 1/72 plastics and the figures are metal. |
