I need some loose firearms in 28mm scale; specifically, Mauser rifles,
Lewis guns, Lee-Enfields, Maxim guns and especially an 1897 Trench Gun. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes these items as separate objects?

There used to be Askari for separate rifles and such but they have disappeared, I think someone was taking over the line but I don't know if it actually re-entered production.

Which 1897 trench gun? I seem to remember an article decades ago about using an Airfix 18 pdr (20mm), cutting it up and inverting the barrel/recoil cylinder and scratch building a tripod base to make a Le Puteaux 37mm.

Otherwise, as I have recently posted elsewhere, check out any of your friends who are doing Bolt Action & see if they have any spare plastic rifles – US, Commonwealth and German plastic boxes should yield several rifles. Maxims and Lewis Guns are going to be more difficult.

Check out Pulp Figures pack PSS 08 light deck weapons.
It has a Lewis gun, light Maxium gun and 37mm deck gun
that may be useful for scratch building.

The Assault Group is my go-to source for loose weapons. Mauser, SMLE, Maxim, and Browning pump-action shotgun. Company B does a 5-pack of Lewis guns.

The Warlord Games USMC weapon sprue has the model 97 trench broom on it.
