Yesterday the Wollongong Wargamers spent our Team Yankee day indulging me with my Deep Attack scenario adapted from the rulebook slightly.

Great game. The armor is exquisitely painted.

Great terrain and minis – also a very "Cold War" flavour to the game

VonTed07 Mar 2016 7:04 a.m. PST

Nice! (now I am shamed in to buying power lines)

nazrat07 Mar 2016 7:35 a.m. PST

Superb! Thanks for sharing that.

Working on some scenario ideas myself now.

Nicely painted minis and good looking table, but seeing those M113s leading the armor attack against the T-72s….sigh.

Navy Fower Wun Seven07 Mar 2016 12:39 p.m. PST

Thanks guys! Yes an unusual tactic, but they knew we were after their M1s because of the scenario conditions. Think of them as scouts leading the way….

Lovely looking game, great work.

Exceptional Ralph ! Great table & the photography captures the action well.

A great AAR, and your terrain looks good, too.

You should post pics of your TY AAR's, KB.

Navy Fower Wun Seven08 Mar 2016 12:20 p.m. PST

Yes – Zulu Muster – in the British service. Thanks Tim, I hear you, but frankly I have enough difficulty in dissuading my wargaming buddies, mostly civvies, that the table needs to be covered in wall to wall terrain that they can hide behind. Next effort is on avoiding tank car parks…one thing at a time!

And, to be fair to them, their use of APC and dismounts to systematically clear the woods flanking the advance would have made the Chief Instructor at Warminster shed a tear of joy…

*Navy 4-1-7, Great AAR! And I loved the pics, that battle came to 'life' while I read your 'report'.

In the 2 TY games I have seen, they usually are over and done in Less, than 6 turns. Even as a civie I have to agree with you.
A fellow gamer pointed out at the last game: "On an open field (desert) the M1's would be picking off the 72's at about 2 kilometers."
So with out all of that terrain.. it would be an even Faster / shorter game.

As for the game itself.. thats all I need, another game with really cool plastic AFV models (my wargame weakness).

Navy Fower Wun Seven09 Mar 2016 12:44 p.m. PST

Thanks mate! Yes loving all this cheap hard plastic goodness!

Field Marshal10 Mar 2016 12:19 a.m. PST

Navy Fower Wun Seven25 Mar 2016 12:06 a.m. PST

You're on mate!

nickinsomerset25 Mar 2016 8:32 a.m. PST

Nice looking game and models, seems you need to have words about the tactics with the M113s!!!

Tally Ho!

kallman26 Mar 2016 2:51 p.m. PST

Where do you get the power towers? Wonderful looking table and nice battle report.

Navy Fower Wun Seven04 Apr 2016 1:36 p.m. PST

The towers are from Hornsby rail modelling apparently!
