I have started running a Nam Campaign with some of my old buddies who I used to do my Nam gaming with, with are now spread out all over so after a break of some years we have started RAPIDSTRIKE III as an internet campaign and should lead us up to a tabletop game/s when we will all meet up.
I have started a blog to collect the information as the campaign develops

That's a good degree of detail you are drilling down to.
I take it the game rules are modified PBI by PP ?

Gamesman607 Mar 2016 3:20 p.m. PST

I realise in hindsight my error… PBI Play by Internet! not poor bloody infantry… though that may apply to the grunts on the ground

Regards the rules the much of the campaign stuff is based upon a set called Tacspiel War-Game Procedures and Rules of Play for Guerrilla/Counterguerrilla Operations, published around 1966 by The Military Gaming Department in the US which was used to game Vietnam scenarios

Thanks for the tip, I have found the Tacspiel rules online and will give them a read through.

They need a bit of modifying to make them workable for my needs… The selling point for me was that they were something the military had used at the time and they do make the resolution of large scale actions pretty quickly and simply… I have had to add some things of my own and I am working thing as I go.
There are some things I'd like to see from the original TacSPiel rules that this is "suppliment" of but I've not been able to find them on line.
