Or do you know a person who plays that PC game, and what medieval miniature rules do they/you play, if any? |

I play the PC game. I've played DBA, Warhammer Ancients, and am now getting into Hail Caesar, for what it's worth. |

I do. I played the original Medieval Total War. I also played the original Rome Total War. Like them both a lot. I mainly play my own homegrown rules. Also a bit of DBA. |

Yes, I've played all the Total War series, with the exception of the Napoleonic version, which seems quite silly to me. I've played DBA, DBM, Saga, but I don't necessarily see a correlation between miniatures and TW. |

I enjoy the game. I played Med I & II. Both really enjoyable at both the tactical and strategic levels. I have not played a miniatures game in the period in a long time. I played a lot of Tactica when it first came out but did not love the medieval rules. I have a largish collection of 90mm figures but have not found the ideal rules to use them with. |

Yes plus many of the mods that are available for the PC version, it's never left my hard drive, one of the best tactical and strategic games out there. |

I used to play the original "Medieval Total War" years ago when it was first released, along with the expansion "Viking Invasion." Years later, now having a Mac at home, I miss these games. Even though my wife and I wisely got rid of all of our outdated Windows XP stuff when we updated, I could not bring myself to say goodbye to "Shogun: Total War." It still sits on a shelf here at home. |

I still play the "Stainless Steel" mod of Medieval II Total War, and I am eagerly awaiting the release of another mod set in the 9th Century AD in the Byzantine world. Factions include Magyars, Pechenegs, Bulgars, Abbasids, Emirates of Crete and Sicily, Moravians, Croatians, east Franks, etc. Looks amazing! Also have Atilla and Rome II Total War. I even play the original version of Medieval Total War on occasion. Still enjoy them immensely! For table top I use Sword and Spear for 15's and Warhammer Ancients for 28's, but am open to try just about any set of rules for the period of the Crusades. |

I play the Napoleonic version off and on when I need a gaming fix.(I love the cannon fire sounds) The campaign version of the Medieval Total War turned into repetitive castle assaults or defenses so I stopped playing. |

The reason I asked was because it seems to play on the screen very similar to the way Warhammer Ancient Battles does on the tabletop. Selecting the composition of an army and troop stats remind me of WAB also. I've only watched game play and never played the game though. |

I've played most of the Total Wars – Medieval I and II were both outstanding for their time. Currently play Total War: Attila, which recently released a Charlemagne expansion and so is creeping into the Middle Ages. The battles do have the look and feel of miniatures, but of course are in real-time and can be pretty chaotic! You can adjust the speed or use pause to make it more 'turn-based', though I've found that approach less fun. The real strength of the series is mixing tactical battles with a strategic campaign interface, watching your kingdom grow. |

Guilty as Charged. I always had the feeling of playing a warmaster game While playing TW games |
