I'm still hoping to find a box of their Skraelings before I die.

Craig R Davey04 Mar 2016 12:48 p.m. PST

They look great but those helmets could be more accurate. Never seen an example with a ridge like those shown and what are those disk things over the ears??!

Attalus I04 Mar 2016 2:12 p.m. PST

My new army.

Captain Cook04 Mar 2016 3:42 p.m. PST

One in the Budapest museum has one with a high ridge like that, the discs are to protect the ears simple as that.

Craig R Davey04 Mar 2016 4:22 p.m. PST

Captain Cook – Can you point me at a reference for the Budapest helmet please? I'm not familiar with it. Also any evidence for the disks…

Captain Cook04 Mar 2016 4:53 p.m. PST

Tried to link put it would not copy, go to romanarmytalk.com and search Intercisa helmets, scroll down to Intercisa photos, you will find a link to the chaps photos and a large pic posted further down. Can't say I have seen any ear pieces, so may be just conjectural, the helmet design certainly leaves the ears exposed, so they would help. They do not appear on re-enactors ones from what I can see, but are given has a possibility in Simon MacDowells Osprey on the late Roman infantry.

Awesome! I might turn these guys into Gondorians but either way I like them!

These look fantastic. Will be popular.

WillieB05 Mar 2016 11:03 a.m. PST

Combine these with the Gripping Beast Dark Age warriors and the possibilities are simply endless.
I for one am really glad to have the until now somewhat neglected Intercisa helmets to 'play' with.

Check out the GB Facebook page! It gets 'worse' They are already talking about plastic Roman cavalry and Goths and Vandals…

HANS GRUBER05 Mar 2016 2:49 p.m. PST

I am certainly looking forward to these. Cavalry and Goths will be icing on the cake.

Is it me or do the heads look….large.

madaxeman06 Mar 2016 3:51 p.m. PST

Late Roman era Saga supplement incoming I wonder…?

PrivateSnafu06 Mar 2016 11:20 p.m. PST

Yes they have hinted at a Saga supplement on Facebook, but said they were talking their time to get it right. Who knows? Maybe Christmas or next year.

I was wondering how this fitted their existing lines

Nice figures although the archer pose looks horribly familiar

They are really doing outstanding work and it is great to see these companies pushing each other to make better and better figures
