I have read posts on here on how film and picture negatives get flipped and then some people will argue about left or right hand drive or coaxial machine gun on either side. Reading a book and two pictures on same page on sbove the other of the same building after a battle. But one of the pictures has to have been flipped because there is only one steeple/or lookout tower but on one photo it is on the left facing and other photo on right facing. I noticed it right off and it just distracted me so much as I am into details checking out the photos. |

Hmm. I always thought that was some attempt to be artful with the layout, but it now occurs to my ancient memories of actually dealing with negatives that if you didn't take the picture it can be easy to turn one the wrong way. |

Too many people involved in publishing/film making have no knowledge of the subject they are dealing with. Seeing flipped images, incorrect labelling and incorrect period equipment is so common on documentaries that I have almost stopped watching them. Best recently was watching a film about the Finnish Russian Winter War of 1939/40 that showed footage of a T34! I've seen early war docs showing King Tigers and late war with Pz1s and 38ts, drives you mad. |
